Softball Fall 2025

Surge Softball is a competitive youth softball organization committed to developing athletes both on and off the field. We focus on fundamentals, leadership, and high-level softball IQ to prepare our players for long-term success. Our program provides year-round training, elite coaching, and a pathway toward high school and collegiate play.

Ages

10U

12U

Appropriate for players ages 8 to 12 who are ready for a competitive team environment and have a strong foundation in softball fundamentals. Prior experience in recreational or developmental leagues is recommended.

When

Surge Softball operates year-round with two primary seasons. The fall season begins with practices in August, games starting in late August, and runs through November. The spring/summer season begins with tryouts in November and runs from Late February through early July.

Where

League games are played throughout the DFW metroplex, and tournament locations vary ranging from local DFW events to select out-of-town tournaments in Austin, Houston, or occasionally out of state depending on the team’s level.

Practices

Practices are primarily held in the Denton area, with indoor training available at Surge Baseball Academy.

Games

Fall 4-6 Tournaments

Spring/Summer Will play 6-8 tournaments.

Development

Teams typically practice once-twice a week outdoors, along with one scheduled indoor session at Surge Baseball Academy. In addition, all athletes receive 24/7 access to the indoor facility to get extra reps, train with a coach, or work with their own instructor.

Uniforms & Team Gear

All uniforms and team gear are purchased through the official team shop or approved sponsors. Players have access to discounted equipment and apparel from top brands as part of the Surge Softball program.

Extra Costs

Families should expect to contribute toward tournament entry fees, umpire costs, and coach travel (when applicable). Teams may also organize fundraising efforts to help offset these expenses throughout the season.

Depending on Team our cost ranges from $600-$800 per player for fall season.
